Products and Materials

What materials are your cookware sets made from?

Our sets are made from 304 stainless steel or aluminum, depending on the product. Each product page lists the exact material. We don't carry nonstick-coated cookware -- no Teflon, no PTFE, no PFAS. Bare stainless steel and aluminum are harder to scratch, easier to trust long term, and straightforward to clean in the field.

Is the cookware safe to cook with? Are there any harmful coatings?

Yes. Our stainless steel sets use food-grade 304 stainless steel, which is widely used in commercial kitchens and considered safe for cooking. There are no nonstick coatings that can scratch or flake. If you've seen concerns about PFAS or "forever chemicals" in cookware -- that applies to Teflon-style nonstick coatings, which we don't use.

What is the difference between stainless steel and aluminum camping cookware?

Both materials work well for outdoor cooking. The main differences come down to weight and durability:

  • Stainless steel -- heavier, more durable, better for car camping or base camp setups where weight isn't the main concern. Handles campfire heat well. Lasts for years with proper care.
  • Aluminum -- lighter and heats up faster, making it popular for backpacking and multi-day hikes where every ounce counts. Slightly less durable than stainless but still solid for regular outdoor use.

If you're car camping or cooking for a group, stainless steel is usually the better fit. If you're counting pack weight on a trail, aluminum is worth considering.

Can I use this cookware on an open campfire?

Yes. Our stainless steel sets are designed for use on open campfires, propane stoves, and butane burners. The handles are foldable and made to stay away from the flame, but they will still conduct some heat -- use a cloth or camp towel when handling hot cookware. Aluminum sets work on propane and butane stoves. Check the individual product page for specific heat source compatibility before purchasing.

Can I use this cookware on a home stove?

Our stainless steel sets are compatible with gas and electric stovetops. They are not rated for induction stovetops -- induction requires cookware with a magnetic base, and our sets are not designed or tested for induction use. Check the product page for the specific set you're considering to confirm compatibility.

How do I choose the right set size for my group?

A general guide based on group size:

  • 1 to 2 people -- a single pot (1.5 to 2L) and a small pan covers most meals
  • 3 to 4 people -- look for sets with a 2.5L or larger pot and multiple cooking surfaces
  • 5 or more people -- you'll want a larger capacity set (3L or more) with multiple pots

Each product listing includes a recommended group size. If you're unsure, email us with your trip details and we'll point you in the right direction.

Orders and Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as well as PayPal. Payment is processed securely through Shopify at checkout. We do not store your card details.

Can I cancel my order after placing it?

Yes, within 24 hours of placing your order on a business day. Email us at support@brieffolder.com with your order number as soon as possible -- we process orders quickly. Once your order has shipped, cancellation is no longer possible, but you can request a return after delivery under our 30-day return policy.

Will I receive an order confirmation?

Yes. You'll receive a confirmation email immediately after placing your order, and a second email with your tracking number once it ships. If you don't see the confirmation email, check your spam folder -- or contact us and we'll resend it.

Shipping and Delivery

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically arrive within 6 to 10 business days total -- 1 to 3 business days for processing, plus 5 to 7 business days for shipping transit. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. These are estimates and may vary depending on your location and carrier conditions. You'll get a tracking number once your order ships.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. We offer free standard shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States. No minimum order required, no hidden fees at checkout.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Not at this time. We currently ship to the contiguous United States only (all 48 lower states). We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO/DPO military addresses, or U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico and Guam. If you're unsure whether your address is eligible, email us before ordering.

My package shows "delivered" but I haven't received it. What should I do?

Start here before contacting us:

  • Check around your delivery area -- porches, mailroom, with a neighbor
  • Wait 24 hours -- carriers sometimes mark packages delivered slightly ahead of actual arrival
  • Contact the carrier directly with your tracking number to open an investigation
  • Email us at support@brieffolder.com with your order number and the carrier's case reference number

We require carrier confirmation before we can issue a replacement or refund for packages reported as lost after a "Delivered" scan.

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?

Contact us at support@brieffolder.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number, a photo of the damaged item, and a photo of the outer packaging. Once we verify the photos, we'll ship a replacement at no cost to you. Claims without photo documentation cannot be processed.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, in its original packaging, and includes all accessories. To start a return, email us at support@brieffolder.com with your order number. We'll confirm the correct return warehouse address -- do not ship back to the address on your original parcel. For full details, see our Return and Refund Policy.

Who pays for return shipping?

It depends on the reason for the return:

  • Damaged item or wrong item sent -- we cover return shipping. Ship it back with a trackable service, send us the receipt, and we'll reimburse the cost along with your full refund.
  • Personal reasons (changed your mind, no longer needed, ordered incorrectly) -- return shipping is at your own expense. The original outbound shipping cost is also non-refundable.

We do not provide prepaid return labels. Please arrange your own return shipment and submit the receipt if applicable.

How long does a refund take?

Once our warehouse receives and inspects your return, we process your refund within 3 business days. The refund goes back to your original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may take an additional 3 to 10 business days to post the funds to your account. You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been issued.

Do you offer exchanges?

We don't do direct exchanges. The fastest way to get the right product is to submit a return for your original order, then place a new order once your refund is confirmed. This avoids delays from coordinating two shipments at once.

Care and Maintenance

How do I clean stainless steel camping cookware?

Rinse with warm water as soon as possible after cooking. For stuck food, soak briefly and use a non-abrasive sponge or brush. A little dish soap is fine. Avoid steel wool or harsh scouring pads -- they can scratch the surface. At camp without running water, a little sand and a cloth works in a pinch. Dry thoroughly before storing to prevent water spots.

Is camping cookware dishwasher safe?

It depends on the specific product. Some stainless steel sets are dishwasher safe, but repeated dishwasher cycles can dull the finish over time. Check the product page for care instructions. When in doubt, hand washing extends the life of your cookware.

Can I use metal utensils with these pots and pans?

For stainless steel sets -- yes. Metal utensils won't cause the same concerns they would with nonstick-coated pans. For aluminum cookware, use wooden or silicone utensils to avoid scratching. Check the product description if you're unsure which category your set falls into.
